I love seeing this song live - it’s got some real power behind it and the suspense in the quiet parts is gorgeous. The end is fabulous. It’s like you can actually hear the effort the band have to put in to carry along this behemoth of a tune. Epic.
I recently acquired an IQ video of questionable origin. Upon first watching it, all I could do was marvel at Nicholls’ hair. LOOK AT IT. That is some seriously pretty hair right there.

As with any prog group, a double disc concept album is pretty much a must. IQ is no exception with ‘Subterranea’. With the plot never made 100% clear as other concept albums, the listener need just hang on for the turbulent ride. Enjoy this snippet from the first disc.
